James Dean


(February 8, 1931– September 30, 1955)

James Dean was an actor and cultural icon best known for his role in “Rebel Without a Cause,” for which he received one of his two Oscar nominations. His death from a car accident at 24 catapulted him to legendary status. Dean had relationships with men as well as women throughout his life and has been romantically linked to his college roommate and screenwriter William Bast as well as “Giant” costar Rock Hudson.
