Keith Haring

(May 4, 1958 –February 16,1990)

Keith Haring was a pioneer of the street art movement  and  social activist.  He is best known for his graffiti style drawings, inspired by Egyptian hieroglyphics which he first made in subway stations and later exhibited in galleries and museums.  He passed away in 1990 from AIDS related complications, but he lives on through his iconic pop art characters that are loved throughout the world
