J.Boogy is a character I started drawing back in my raver days, inspired by the beautiful women I met at those parties in their short black curls with the tips dyed blond. As those women I fell in love with grew up into mature beautiful woman, they let those tight blond curls grow out. Many of them let them grow into thick natural fros. The woman I created inspired by them also evolved, and she has stood by me ever since. She has danced for me at my artshows, and put food on my table countless times. She stood naked in fountains and on buses protesting civil rights for me. Now her thick beautiful fro has come represent freedom, to me and many people. Since she has stood by me for so long I thought it was appropriate that she have her own page.
